Sunday, June 21
10:30 a.m. - Celebration Sunday & Flower Communion. In this final service of the church year, we will mark the end of the year just passed, and honor Norbert Čapek, a Czech Unitarian minister and martyr who later perished at the hands of the Nazis. In June 1923, Čapek created a ritual of union for his diverse congregation in Prague. His Flower Communion symbolized the uniqueness of each individual, and the coming together in communion to share this uniqueness. On this day we and most other UU congregations remember Čapek and his vision of what life could be like. Please remember to bring a flower for the Flower Communion. Arline will deliver a short homily as part of this intergenerational service. Nursery care provided for infants and toddlers. All other children attend the service with their families.
12 noon - Church picnic on the Harrington Rd. lot.
